Hi, I'm Kate Canning.

I've loved art and design for as long as I can remember. As a child I was always drawing, and that never really stopped. It just found bigger surfaces.

Line art is my particular passion, and it runs in the family. There's something about a single confident line that I've never tired of: how it can suggest a petal, a leaf or a whole character with almost nothing at all. You'll see it running through my murals, often sitting over soft blocks of colour.

Why murals

I love creating beautiful spaces. A mural isn't just a picture on a wall. It can pick up the colours, shapes and character already in a room and pull them together, so the whole space feels cohesive and considered, and somehow more like yours.

Every design starts with the space itself and the people who use it, and is drawn from scratch for that wall alone.

I'm based in Manchester, painting homes and businesses across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
